The Epoch series of puzzles by this very stylish artist has now long gone, so it is good to see a new series from Appleone...

These puzzles come in a sleek black box, with the artist's name in gold on the top, inside a slipcase. The box includes dividers so you can use it for sorting pieces, and afterwards as a handy container for knick-knacks.
I chose to do "Scarlet declaration", which is probably the hardest of the set - there are basically only four colours: black, pale flesh, white, and red (to name them in the order I took!)... But Appleone puzzles have a very nice cut: without the pieces looking totally unreasonable, there is a huge variation in shape, so even for areas of uniform colour, finding pieces is not easy, but never tedious. There's also the fun of finding the "Apple" piece, of course.
