Imaginatorium Shop, version 2
Welcome to the new Imaginatorium site at imaginatorium.com
. There is no "total reorganisation", so you should be able to find things easily, and eventually any bookmarks to the old shop will be redirected to the right page. The new checkout is working, which means that in simple cases you will be able to complete a purchase in the normal way.
Covid-19: Shop status
There are still many problems in the postal system, varying hugely from one country to another. More details on the front page, and at the checkout there will be more specific information about the destination country (sorry: not implemented for all countries yet!).

![]() © Row. V. Ogasawara 1000: Fuji horses (Ogasawara)Two fine steeds gallop below Mount Fuji; Ogasawara's style is soft and flowing yet brings out the muscular strength of the pair. By tradition, we are told, a black horse symbolizes a prayer for rain, and a red horse a prayer for the sun. Few biographical details are available, but Ogasawara has worked as a background artist for anime production, and specialises in animal portraits. Recent works by this artist all bear the unexplained copyright declaration "Row. V. Ogasawara." Perhaps "Row" is a nickname, but the initial is a mystery, and on earlier puzzles "Row. E. ![]() © Seibi-sha 1000: Tower Bridge (Yamashita)The artist made a tour of Europe in 1961, resulting in a series of depictions of landmarks such as Tower Bridge in London. Born in 1922 in Tokyo, Yamashita had a troubled childhood: - after a bullying incident at school involving a knife, he was classified as mentally handicapped, and placed in an institution. His genius for creating harie (pasted paper pictures) was soon realised, though, and eventually he featured in many exhibitions across Japan. He remained an eccentric: from 1940 to 1954 he roamed the country wearing only an undershirt (it is said), earning himself the moniker of "The naked artist wanderer". Although he travelled widely seeking material, including an extended tour of Europe in 1961, it seems he did not work in the field, but would return to his studio and create images entirely from memory. He died in 1971 at the early age of 49. His story has been dramatised a number of times, in the 1956 film known as "The naked general" and later television series. ![]() A Yanoman puzzle: 1000 pieces; 750 x 500 mm (30" x 20") Code: Y101262 (10-1262 on package) Retail price ¥3000 (approx. ![]() © Shu 300: Nutcracker sweet (Shu)Born in Hiroshima in 1972, the artist developed his talent for original art while working as a graphic artist for a game company. He is now an independent creator of fantasy works. Mizoguchi is his family name; he signs his work "Shu", the short form of his given name (Shuichi). On the box his name is given as "SHU Mizoguchi", somewhat confusingly, given the recent trend to writing the family name first capitalized.
